2020 Adult LTS Keelboat

The Adult LTS Keelboat course follows the Sail Canada Start Keelboat Sailing curriculum, which is the recommended starting point for those with little or no boating or sailing experience who want to experience sailing on a keelboat and begin to build basic sailing skills in a relaxed environment and at a comfortable pace. No Experience Required. This entry level course builds basic sailing skills with a focus on operation of the vessel as crew. Candidates completing this course will be able to competently contribute to the operation of a keelboat in moderate daytime conditions. Courses will be taught using the club's Tanzer 22 sailboat, over one weekend (Friday evening, and all day Saturday and Sunday), or six evenings (Monday and Wednesday), over three weeks. Note: there are a maximum of four students in each session, and a minimum of two students must be enrolled to run a course.

Weekend Session W1. Friday 6-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm

Weekend Session W3. Friday 6-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm

2020 Start Keelboat Sailing Instructor Clinic

The Objective of this course is to prepare competent sailors to deliver Sail Canada endorsed programs leading to the Start Keelboat Sailing (SKS) Standard. At the end of this programs the successful candidate should have the basic tools to be ready to develop a curriculum and plan and deliver quality lessons that will build student skills and knowledge at the level of the Start Keelboat Sailing standard. This Ontario Sailing SKS Clinic will be hosted at Collins Bay Yacht Club (CBYC), 1270 Coverdale Drive, KIngston ON from 8 - 10 May 2020.
The course is scheduled to run approx 6-9 pm Friday, and 8 am - 6 pm Saturday and Sunday.
The total cost of this clinic is $517 - $162 payable directly to the Ontario Sailing Association, and $355 payable to CBYC.
Before completing and paying for enrollment with CBYC, all candidates must first register and pay the Sail Canada portion of the clnic fee on the Ontario Sailing Association Website
